COVID-19 Photo Series

April, 2020

In April of 2020 I was tired of sitting in my house. To get some fresh air I decided to take a drive around my community, but with my camera. All I saw was emptiness, like a town left deserted. I started taking photos that encompassed that bleak and eerie look. I ended up with an entire photo series that documents the shut down in my hometown, from empty parking lots, closed signs and low gas prices. I finished the series with portraits, wearing a makeshift mask and a graduation cap as a 2020 high school senior.
